Fake it until you know it

The biblical story of Esau, Jacob, and Isaac has an important message. Neville Goddard describes it in his book "Freedom for All" in chapter 4. The blind father(Isaac) asks his son (Esau) to hunt and bring back a venison. In exchange, he promises to bless him. So he did. In the meantime, Jacob who overheard the conversation, dresses up like his brother (Esau) "and brought a kid of his father's flock". Isaac confuses his 2 sons and blesses Jacob. He became Lord.

Neville Goddard explains that the father represents awareness(consciousness), Esau is the objectified reality, and Jacob the desired state. Esau and Jacob can't coexist at the same time. In other words, your current state and the desired one can't happen simultaneously. Therefore, the wished-for is an unborn child that seeks "an embodiment". When blessed (truly felt and believed real) it becomes real. The current state shifts to become the desired one.
